DESIGNATION : Asst Lead, Growth

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role within commissioning is responsible for working across and delivering digital short form video content for fast growing platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Responsibilities

You'll ensure that priorities and editorial strategy are aligned, also inspire and engage independent producers / content creators by articulating your editorial priorities, and work with them to create and develop ideas that meet our audiences' needs.

You'll also provide creative leadership to the development process, encouraging risk taking and innovation whilst maintaining expertise to identify trends and opportunities for outstanding content. At the same time, you may also be managing some content independently.

You're also expected to lead the team in areas such as content pipeline planning, maintain and track budgets, closely track/review content performance, SOP governance and stakeholder management.

Your leadership should result in content that demonstrates value for money, quality and originality.

Managing the Team & Content Successfully

  • You have to lead the team to create content that resonates with an existing fan base, yet is differentiated and engaging enough to draw in new, underserved or overlooked audience.
  • Importantly, we're trying to build a returning audience / fanbase for the channel(s) / handle(s) that the content is meant for.
  • Develop content direction & strategy for digital short form video content on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • To be pro-active in developing briefs / proposals with production teams and to deliver the overall editorial strategy
  • For selected content, to commission and manage end to end production of video projects, ensuring programmes are delivered on time and budget.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that programmes deliver on time and budget and to an editorially high standard. This includes scheduling and monitoring progress on programmes, anticipating problems and taking appropriate action.
  • Review budgets, cast, offlines, scripts (where applicable only), marketing campaigns (where applicable only)
  • Brainstorm with the Marketing and Social media teams to ensure maximum publicity for the slate of content.
  • Collaborate with Commercial to ensure revenue optimization
  • Monitor and assess qualitative and quantitative performance of programmes using data analytics and focus group studies
  • Engage and manage positive, creative relationships with content creators and production teams, at a level that nurtures and develops the best ideas




QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Degree in any related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in production / content strategy in video content.
  • A leader and team player with positive work attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to initiate, lead and manage cross-platform projects;
  • Strong communicator who is able to articulate with the ability to present ideas and direction to content providers.
  • Have a deep passion for entertainment content
  • A go-getter who thrives in a dynamic environment with tight timelines.
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for details.
