Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Kindergarten Teacher to join our team and contribute to shaping the future of young learners. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing, interactive, and creative learning environment for children aged 2 to 6 years old. As part of our team, you will play a key role in implementing our hands-on, play-based curriculum, emphasizing emotional growth, creativity, outdoor learning, and the development of essential life skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties
- Teach in French the IB programe to one or more classes.
- Share the class with the other language counterparts, make lesson plans together.
- Closely monitor the children and their learning progression and report this information to the School Principal and to the families accurately.
- Coordinate with the classroom Assistant for daily programmes and matters.
- Contribute to the development of a school-wide pedagogical project.
- Supervise morning breaks and/or afternoon breaks according to the schedule.
- Attend all team meetings.
- Participate in the school’s events outside of teaching time (i.e. end of year fair, open house and community days).
- Liaise with children’s parents whenever requested (inc. regular parent-teacher meetings scheduled twice a year).
- Other duties as determined in consultation with the School Principal

If while carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School Principal so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third-party services.

Job Key Relationships
- Line managed by School Principal
- Direct reports: Classroom Assistant (in terms of classroom management)
- Liaison with School Principal (Curriculum, Welfare and Administration), other members of pedagogical team, admin team, and Enrichment Teachers
- Liaise with parents, guardians and external parties, as required.
Required Qualifications and Desired Attributes
- A minimum four (4)-year recognised teaching qualification including a bachelor’s degree and teaching diploma or a Bachelor of Education
- Experience with the PYP/IB or French school curriculum required
- Experience with a holistic approach to Education

Working Conditions-Workplace
- Most time in classroom and playground on campus site, as well as when needed or required, off site on school functions, excursions, meetings, events, and professional development.
Work Time
- Classroom hours: Monday to Friday: from 8.00am to 4pm (including one hour of lunch break)
- One ½ day (Saturday) per month: from 8am until 5pm
- School functions, meetings, events, and professional development days as required, both within and out of school hours
