The Boutique Service Crew at Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique plays a key customer-facing role in delivering a delightful experience from the moment customers approach the boutique to the moment they leave. This role combines hands-on operational duties and customer service, reflecting the brand's commitment to quality, excellence and care.


RESPONSIBILITIES


CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE

  • Greet customers warmly and deliver excellent service across all touchpoints (walk-in, text, phone calls) with a positive and service-oriented attitude
  • Introduce products and assist customers with tastings and recommendations
  • Handle customers’ questions, complaints and feedback with professionalism, respect and empathy

PRODUCT QUALITY

  • Carefully prepare and serve gelato & complementary products (including for deliveries, events)
  • Safeguard gelato quality and ensure proper handling

BOUTIQUE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

  • Perform opening, closing and throughout-the-day procedures according to company's standards
  • Perform cleaning and boutique maintenance to ensure boutique is in tip-top condition
  • Ensure proper and accurate receiving and delivery of goods at boutique
  • Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory

CASHIERING

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle transactions and payments accurately

FOOD HYGIENE SAFETY

  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are followed at all times

TEAM COLLABORATION

  • Work closely with fellow service crew members to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in pre-shift briefings and boutique meetings
  • Assist at ad-hoc off-site events (e.g. weddings, live scoop etc.)
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as reasonably assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or higher
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word) & Google Suites (google sheet, doc)
  • No prior working experience needed
  • Shift work (5-day work week, including weekends & Public Holidays)
