Job Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger) for two entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, including analysis, forecasting and budgeting, in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely preparation and closing of accounts.
- Monitor daily cash balances and manage cash flow, including projections.
- Ensure all payments are properly checked, verified, authorised and approved.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and the company secretary.
- Ensure accounting reporting complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with relevant statutory requirements and accounting standards.
- Provide support for other operational and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items.
- Collaborate with external accountants to finalise year-end financial statements and provide all necessary schedules.
- Ensure statutory financial statements are fairly and accurately presented.
- Conduct invoicing module training for users.
- Assist users in resolving invoicing data entry issues and coordinate with external accounting software consultants as needed.
- Guide invoicing users when necessary.
- Continuously seek workflow improvements to enhance productivity.
- Stay updated on ECDA changes to the Baby Bonus Scheme and government subsidies; incorporate necessary changes into invoicing processes.
- Ensure all documents are securely stored.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the company’s financial performance.
- Ensure statutory deadlines are met for submission of financial statements, GST filings, ECI, AGM documentation and IRAS tax filings.
Job Specifications
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in handling full set of accounts and GST filing is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with MoneyWorks Accounting System and Taidii Invoicing System is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the childcare industry and knowledge of government subsidies are beneficial.
- Self-motivated, independent and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
