IT Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Monitor network traffic and system activity for suspicious behavior or security breaches.

• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans.

• Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigation, resolution, and reporting.

• Manage firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.

• Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks (NIST).

• Develop upskilling material for employees cyber security awareness and best practices.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and tools.

• Support IT audits and provide evidence of security controls and risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify security requirements for new systems or projects.
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of network and application security concepts.
• Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Familiarity with security risk assessments and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
