  • Perform sample analysis, result recording and validations.
  • Provide guidelines and documentation on chemical testing and procedures.
  • Draft and furnish technical reports, test methods and analysis findings of chemicals/solutions for reference/follow up actions.
  • Educate and guide technicians, personnel-in-charge and ensure that processes, methods, standard operating procedures are properly administered/handled.
  • Thorough checks and verification on the authenticity and accuracy of laboratory reports/findings with proper endorsement of Analysis Certificates, if and where required.
  • Prepare, evaluate, maintain, and update/revise procedures as needed; revised procedures are re-established and communicated to laboratory analysts / technicians / persons in charge.
  • In consultation with safety personnel, formulate and implement safety compliances with required enforcement and report unsafe acts and conditions at the laboratory and management with the proposal of corrective measures and actions.
  • Take charge and responsible for all laboratory apparatuses. The proper and timely maintenance and calibration 0f all equipment to be in line with the required standards.
  • Manage, supervise and revise/update quality assurance and control program
  • Evaluate checked data on chemical findings and put forth recommendations based on professional analysis
  • Supervise and ensure accurate preparation and standardization of in chemical reagents
  • Be responsible for ensuring replenishment/new purchases of adequate inventory/merchandise of consumables/expendables, reagents, glassware and other apparatuses and replenish as needed
  • Take responsibility for training and ensuring competency of new members in the organization.
  • Perform exigent and support analysis in case of absence of requested by laboratory analysts
  • Comply with and ensure full / optimal (with due consideration to legal, statutory and contractual requirements) conformance with governmental regulations and policies in line with the client’s requirements/contracts
  • Training and supervising all staff in the section(s)
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to perform their tasks.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship to improve skills and productivity.
  • Oversee the execution of testing procedures, ensuring that all testing activities are performed accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Supervise and check the documentation of test results, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and properly recorded.
  • Determining the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspect of the company.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment.
  • Performing routine sample analysis, result entry & validation, audit handling & CAPA write up when necessary.
  • When necessary, updating of test methods and working instructions.
  • Highlighting unusual results and referring them for further investigation.
  • The interpretation of standards in accordance with operating manual.
  • Assisting in method studies and tasks execution, planning & execution of PT testing.
  • To conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation.
  • Performing report issuance (for signatory), purchasing & inventory management, SOP review.
  • Ensuring that all equipment in the section(s) are calibrated in compliance to schedule.
  • Ensuring that the requirements of SAC-SINGLAS in the field of environment chemistry testing are met.
  • Oversight of all the testing in their respective laboratories.
  • Checking and signing of all appropriate reports issued by the laboratory.
  • Preparation of general laboratory work like preparation of sample bottles, housekeeping and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory, equipment and apparatus.
  • Leading by example, advocating for EHS, integrity, compliance and ethic
  • Other ad-hoc duties as determined by the Lab Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Relevant experiences in the Petrol-Chemical Industry preferred.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Sciences.
  • Effective communication in English including preparation of permit to work and written reports.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor environment and/or confined areas (tanks) in petrochemical industry.
  • Preferably 2 years’ working experiences in the related field.
  • Able to work shift schedule and commit to overtime, if required.
  • Possess good safety mindset, responsible, good work discipline and can do attitude.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team player.
