Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and test bioinformatics pipelines, with a key focus on precision, scalability and resource optimization.
- Primary focus on developing analysis solution for the upcoming cutting-edge technology – spatial and single cell genomics and transcriptomics.
- Develop production ready pipelines, using containerized applications (Docker etc.), on AWS cloud.
- Validate the available suite of tools and algorithms, to best answer key research questions.
- Keep abreast with the latest bioinformatics developments and swiftly adapt them to develop service-based solutions.
- Assist in preparing reports, and results for easy interpretation and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, and peers to identify opportunities, and participate in process improvement.
- Interact with customers proactively, understand their analysis requirements, execute and ensure on-time delivery of the results.
- Able to communicate and liaise with Wet lab scientist, for developing QC stats/ measures for assay development.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Master’s degree/ PhD in the field of Bioinformatics, or related field, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Deep understanding and experience in handling large scale single cell Genomics and/or transcriptomics data. Good understanding of handling image files.
- Familiarity with common genomics file formats – BAM, VCF etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as python and R, shell scripting.
- Proficiency in working with cloud computing environments like AWS and on premise Unix or equivalent environments.
