Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Inspection Manager to support and enhance our inspection operations across multidisciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a solid background in welding and mechanical inspections, and hold an advanced academic qualification. This position provides a strategic pathway toward senior inspection management roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Inspection Manager in overseeing all inspection disciplines including welding, NDT, coating, structural steel, and pressure equipment
  • Manage daily operations, allocate inspection resources, and monitor inspection team performance
  • Review and approve ITPs, WPS/PQRs, NCRs, and inspection dossiers for project compliance
  • Ensure adherence to ISO/IEC 17020, ASME, AWS, API, and applicable local and international standards
  • Participate in audits, surveillance visits, and client meetings; lead continuous improvement activities
  • Provide technical guidance to inspectors and support training, mentoring, and certification tracking
  • Liaise with project teams, QA/QC, and third-party assessors to resolve quality issues
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and closure of inspection-related non-conformances
  • Act as deputy during the absence of the Inspection Manager

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Materials, or Welding Engineering (preferred); minimum Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 8–10 years of inspection experience , with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role
  • Certified in CSWIP 3.2 or AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI)
  • Additional certifications preferred: API 510/570/653 , NACE/SSPC Coating Inspector , ASNT Level II/III
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17020 standards and quality management systems
  • Proven ability to manage teams, resolve technical issues, and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
