Accounts Executive

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team. Will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure the company’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting tasks like processing invoices, payments, receipts, and bank transactions.
• Maintain and update the full set of company accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and general ledger.
• Assist with monthly and yearly closing of accounts and support audit processes.
• Do regular bank reconciliations to make sure records are accurate and up to date.
• Manage accounts payable by checking invoices, making payments, and updating vendor details.
• Handle accounts receivable, issue invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Keep AP and AR records organized and current.
• Help prepare financial reports for management, such as profit and loss and cash flow.
• Support tax filings like GST and corporate tax.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tracking differences between actual and expected results.
• Work with auditors and tax agents when needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant accounting qualifications or certification will be advantageous (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in full set accounting, including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
