We believe in adaptive reuse of spaces, taking an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to sustainable community-driven development, drawing links from the community to the macro environment. Guided by ABCD, City Sprouts adaptively reuse spaces that are nestled in heartlands or near residential districts. Our flagship farm at Henderson was the former Henderson Secondary School; Sky Sprouts was an underutilized rooftop space; Punggol sheltered structures showcases green roofs and upcycled shipping containers, City Sprouts @ West Coast activates an underutilised field within West Coast Park, and our Pasir Ris hub will develops a sustainability hub in a mature estate within the former Loyang Primary School.

Scope of Work:

As a UX Designer, you will be part of the Performance Marketing division of the Marketing team, and be expected to:

  • Develop and design creative solutions for spatial and environmental branding projects.
  • Ensure designs align with brand identity and objectives.
  • Create user-centered design concepts for physical spaces and digital interfaces.
  • Design, manage, plan, and execute strategies and events for community engagement and partnerships for the company.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance event experiences and community impact.
  • Understand and keep up to date on concepts and trends aligned with Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)
  • Conceptualise and deliver on spatial design concepts of our existing hubs in Henderson, Punggol, West Coast, Pasir Ris as well as any new developments
  • Illustrate scalability of design applications - Develop a playbook of inclusive design of offline hubs and online channels
  • Other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in UX design, environmental branding, or related creative fields.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, or Sketch.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in spatial design, branding, UI/UX, and content creation.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and how they apply to both digital and physical experiences.
  • Experience in event planning or execution, especially those involving community engagement, is a plus.
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills and attention to detail in graphic design and layout.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with different stakeholders (e.g., social media, marketing, community partners).
  • Knowledge of branding strategies, including how to maintain consistency across various platforms.
  • Demonstrated passion about placemaking, community building, or sustainability is a bonus.
