Facilities Technician - JD1904

Job Info:

• Salary: Basic up to $3500 + AWS + VB
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Office Hours)
• Location: Tuas (West Region)

Job Scope:

Maintenance & Repairs:

• Carry out regular inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems to reduce equipment downtime and maintain safety

Equipment Monitoring:

• Operate and monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal system performance
• Inspect equipment such as forklifts and VNAs regularly, report any malfunctions, and coordinate repairs or replacements

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all relevant safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain thorough records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Conduct safety inspections and participate in emergency preparedness drills

Facility Maintenance:

• Support general facility upkeep including minor carpentry, painting, and light construction tasks
• Work with external contractors for specialized repairs, upgrades, or installations
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests

Inventory Management:

• Track and manage inventory of tools, materials, and spare parts
• Order and restock essential supplies to ensure maintenance tasks can be completed efficiently

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance tasks, equipment status, and repair history
• Prepare regular reports on facility conditions, completed work, and ongoing maintenance needs

Requirements:

• Professional certificate in technical training in Electrical/Mechanical
• Must have at least 5 years of working experience as technician
• Must have good command of written and spoken English
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
