Position: Retail & Operations Assistant (Academy Support)
Location: Orchard Central
Work Hours: Retail Shifts (Including Weekends), 1 Weekend Off Per Month
We are looking for a proactive, service-oriented team member to join our Academy at Orchard Central. This role blends front-of-house retail operations with back-end administrative and learning support. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our learners enjoy a smooth, welcoming, and organized experience—from enrollment to in-class support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Retail & Reception Operations
Welcome and attend to walk-in customers, learners, and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
Manage daily opening and closing of the academy studio.
Handle incoming calls, email inquiries, and walk-in course registrations.
2. Learning Environment & Classroom Setup
Ensure classrooms are prepared and equipped daily, including furniture arrangement and learning material setup.
Support instructors with materials and equipment before and during class.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space.
3. Learner Support & Course Enrollments
Guide learners through registration and SkillsFuture Credit applications.
Provide course information, clarify prerequisites, and assist with administrative documentation.
Take attendance and support day-of-class logistics.
4. Studio Upkeep & Merchandising
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of product displays and classroom shelves.
Refill, organize, and label supplies for courses and hands-on workshops.
Assist with the setup of visual merchandising and marketing collaterals.
5. Inventory & Stock Management
Track inventory levels for course materials and retail products.
Alert the team on low stock items and support monthly stock-taking routines.
6. General Administrative Support
Assist in filing, data entry, document preparation, and backend coordination with trainers and internal teams.
Support small-scale studio events, trial sessions, and in-store promotions.
Who We’re Looking For
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in-person and via email/phone.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Proficient in basic office tools (MS Office, email platforms, Google Drive).
Prior experience in retail, customer service, or education support is an advantage.
Working Arrangement
This is a full-time retail-based role on a 5-day workweek.
Rotational schedule includes evening and weekend shifts aligned with class timings.
One weekend off per month is provided.
