General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee our construction operations in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading business development, project management, financial performance, and team leadership to ensure the company’s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business strategies to drive company growth and market expansion.
• Oversee all construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with safety & quality standards.
• Manage budgets, financial planning, and P&L to maximize profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, engineers, and support staff.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore’s building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in tenders and contract negotiations.
• Implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects in Singapore.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Singapore’s construction regulations (BCA, LTA, etc.) and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PE (Professional Engineer), PMP, CSCP).
• Experience in both public and private sector projects (e.g., residential, commercial, infrastructure).
