WSH Officer cum FSM (6-months Contract)

Location: Tuas
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5-day work week)
Availability: Immediate or short notice preferred
Work Environment: Workshop, manufacturing, and office-based (non-construction site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation and support to clients on all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Fire Safetymatters.
• Conduct daily site inspections within a workshop/manufacturing/office environment to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Support and lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Plan and deliver in-house safety training programs to raise safety awareness among employees.
• Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities (e.g., MOM, SCDF) to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Ensure all practices are in line with the WSH Act and Fire Safety Act.
• Fulfil responsibilities as a registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM), including emergency preparedness and fire safety planning.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in developing and implementing a Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Registered as a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, codes of practice, and fire safety guidelines.
• Skilled in safety documentation, including risk assessments, safe work procedures, permit-to-work systems, and emergency plans.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to commit to a 5-day work week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
• Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
