GCP Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced and motivated GCP Evangelist to lead the development of innovative cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for the Financial Services industry.

The ideal candidate will bring thought leadership, deep experience in GCP services and strategy, and hands-on expertise in designing and implementing GCP-centric architectures. They will also be responsible for migrating applications to GCP and contributing to the overall growth and maturity of the GCP ecosystem within the organization.

This role requires someone who is both a strategic leader and a technical contributor, capable of driving cloud adoption while collaborating closely with architecture, security, DevOps, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cloud architecture and solution design for financial services clients on GCP.
• Own the technical direction, architecture quality, and successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.
• Create proof of concepts (POCs) to accelerate development and solution validation.
• Collaborate with pre-sales, marketing, and delivery teams to build productized cloud offerings and support RFPs/proposals.
• Work closely with client-side architects, CTOs, and internal teams to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Provide architectural guidance to project leads and ensure adoption of enterprise design patterns and best practices.
• Conduct technical analysis and architectural workshops with clients and internal teams.
• Evaluate existing architectures and recommend cloud-native upgrades or hybrid approaches.
• Participate in agile/scrum processes to drive iterative delivery of cloud features and services.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience leading a GCP Cloud Center of Excellence or a cloud consulting unit in the IT services industry.
• Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Services and cloud-native solutions.
• Delivered multiple projects as a GCP Solution Architect, including go-live milestones.
• Strong experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence and collaborate with CTOs and senior stakeholders.
• Experience designing microservices, APIs, and secure, scalable enterprise cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM practices.
• Good understanding of data visualization concepts and tools is a plus.
