The CCO leads all commercial functions including business development, sales, marketing, tendering, and customer relationship management. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep industry knowledge to ensure alignment between business objectives and market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s commercial strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
- Oversee business development, sales, marketing, and commercial operations to maximize market share and revenue.
- Lead the preparation and negotiation of contracts, tenders, and commercial agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Drive strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures to support business growth.
- Collaborate with the CEO and CFO on pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and investment decisions.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including entry into new regions or sectors.
- Oversee customer relationship management and ensure high standards of client satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform decision-making.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team to build a high-performance culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably within the oil & gas, energy, marine, or engineering sectors.
- Proven track record in developing commercial strategies and delivering revenue growth.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, tendering, and client relationship management.
- Deep understanding of commercial and financial principles.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset.
- Willingness to travel regionally or internationally as required.
