Production Planning Specialist
Our client is a well-established leader in chemical industry with wide range of product portfolio. They are seeking a Production Planning Specialist, responsible for the development of a production scheduling within a very variable production environment and the control of operation parameters and production status. The incumbent is in charge of production/demand planning including raw material consumption, lifting and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsible on production sequence, monitor production cycle
- In-charge of inventory movement planning process to ensure that inventory, raw material and KPIs are aligned to prevent material shortage
- Lead monthly S&OP meetings with relevant stake holders
- Align manufacturing capacity with demand and work to optimize inventory level and communicate production constraints and necessary forecast adjustments with distributors
- Work closely with Plant Operation team to evaluate distributors’ ad-hoc requests and advise on the best solution on the changes of production scheduling
- Manage monthly reports and conduct annual simulations for production, sales and inventory planning
- Manage daily production schedule and adjust dates while keeping high production accuracy and analyzing its impact to the demand plan
- Ensure timely, full and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which impact on production schedule, inventory, quality, etc
- Finalize monthly closing data and support Finance department on monthly reporting
- Prepare and manage the yearly budget and monthly forecast simulation for production, sales and inventory figures as well as several performance indexes
- Monitor and resolve errors in data flow from Sales Orders to Goods Receipt among manufacturers and distributors
- Understand SAP processes (PO to Goods Receipt) of relevant parties, facilitate communication, conduct basic training and streamline interdepartmental processes
- Lead the development of scheduling tools and ERP system parameters to enhance data efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or other related business administration, statistics, marketing
- Min 5 years’ experience in similar position preferably from a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of chemical processes or equivalent in petrochemical industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellence in communication and coordination skills
