Job Purpose
The Site Supervisor will oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, and workers to ensure seamless execution of project plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination and Supervision
- Supervise daily site activities and operations to ensure work progresses as planned.
- Coordinate with client, subcontractors, and workers to execute project tasks effectively
- Monitor project milestones and resolve on-site issues to meet deadlines
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Inspect construction work to ensure it adheres to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Address non-compliance issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain documentation of quality checks and site reports.
3. Health and Safety Management
- Enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a secure site environment,
- Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks with workers.
- Investigate site incidents, document findings, and implement preventive measures.
4. Material and Resource Management
- Monitor delivery and usage of construction materials to avoid shortages or wastage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records aligned with project budget.
- Ensure all site equipment is functional and maintained
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a liaison between site staff, project managers, and clients.
- Provide regular updates on project status and highlight potential risks or delays.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve on-site technical issues.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate on-site workers to achieve project objectives.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff or new hires.
- Manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Certifications:
- Minimum ITE Certificate / NITEC in Building, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Certification in site supervision or construction management is a plus.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of relevant site experience preferred (internship or technician background welcome).
- Exposure to construction supervision or site coordination work.
Technical Skills:
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with construction tools, equipment, and material handling.
- Understanding of construction safety and quality practices.
Soft Skills:
- Willing to learn and take initiative.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Positive working attitude and adaptable to site challenges.
- Able to manage pressure and resolve problems on-site.
