Business Associate / Manager

Reporting to: General Manager, APAC

Overview

Support the General Manager and key stakeholders in executing strategic initiatives across the APAC region. The role combines project management, data analysis, client relationship management, and operational improvement within a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Change Management

• Lead or support APAC projects, including regulatory, policy, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-conscious execution.
• Drive business case development, execution, and post-implementation analysis.

Data & Reporting

• Provide insights and performance analytics to support APAC strategy.
• Monitor RM and branch KPIs, and report outcomes to senior management.
• Prepare management reports, meeting materials, and strategic presentations.

Business Development & Client Management

• Conduct market research, support client onboarding, and maintain existing client relationships.
• Monitor client lifecycle processes and suggest improvements.

Trade Finance & Banking Operations

• Support trade finance activities (LCs, short-term loans, discounting).
• Engage with customers to grow export business and support branch cash management.

Process & Control Improvement

• Identify and implement process and governance enhancements.
• Support compliance with audit, regulatory, and risk frameworks.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 5–10 years' experience in corporate banking, consulting, or business management roles.
• Proven success in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of Trade Finance operations is essential.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); MS Copilot experience is a plus.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent.
