We are currently supporting a confidential search for an experienced professional to join the finance function of a leading asset management firm, reporting directly to senior leadership. The role will have key responsibilities across fund management, trust management, financial governance, and risk oversight within a fast-paced and dynamic asset management environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations related to fund and trust structures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, trust deeds, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Support transaction-related activities, including related party reviews and coordination with internal stakeholders on investment structuring matters.
  • Provide financial support and analysis to business development and investment teams on new acquisitions, disposals, or capital recycling initiatives.
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposures across portfolios and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the preparation and review of consolidated financial reports for assigned investment vehicles and trust structures.
  • Ensure consistent application of internal accounting policies, reporting standards, and regulatory guidelines across all reporting entities.
  • Evaluate the impact of emerging accounting standards, regulatory updates, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Review financial forecasts, business plans, and budgets submitted by portfolio teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance drivers for management reporting.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to fund management, trust management, or asset management sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks applicable to fund and trust structures.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to navigate complex transactions and reporting structures.
  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both internal and external partners.
  • High level of integrity, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with financial systems such as Oracle and IBM Cognos Controller will be an added advantage.
