Senior Physiologist

What is the role?

We are currently looking for a Senior Physiologist to join our Performance Department. The successful applicants will be responsible to lead the data analysis process, delivering insight and creating data analysis tools.

We are looking for a candidate who can lead the physical data analysis process, be proactive and innovative in their approach and communicate effectively at all levels.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

• At least 5 years of working experience with a high level of football knowledge

• A good understanding of the elite sporting environment

• Experience of working with large complex data sets.

• Experience using analysis software

• Proficient using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Experience of utilising data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau & Power BI)

Desirable Experience:

• Analytical experience in a professional Football Club/Association

• Knowledge of sports science monitoring concepts
  

Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

• A Post-graduate Qualification (a PhD in Sport Science or Physiology or MSc [research]) in a similar field of study in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physiology or related subject.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of statistical methods (e.g. regression, ANOVA, cluster analysis).

• Working knowledge of computer language to extract data and apply statistical analysis to (DAX, python, R etc.).
