Senior IT Engineer (Software Vulnerability and License Management)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work with state-of-the-art tools and techniques in the endpoint software lifecycle management (SLM) field. As part of the Global End-User Computing Services for our client. This individual will be responsible for driving critical activities and projects to success, as well as shaping the future of our client's software lifecycle management processes and environment.

The candidate will be part of a globally active team, spread across different continents and time zones. This structure enables us to be close to our end-users and incorporate their feedback into our ongoing efforts to maintain system currency and security, and to deploy new applications, features, and policies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all approved licensed software and ensure accurate information on entitlements.
• Analyze software-related risk and impact, license usage data and associated vulnerabilities.
• Participate in remediation projects to license and software vulnerability compliance.
• Develop or contribute to SLM-strategies for license, costs, and performance optimization.
• Oversee and coordinate with vendor/procurement team on license renewals.
• Lead the license management team, providing direction, support, and feedback.
• Generate periodic reports on software usage, compliance metrics, and savings achieved for leadership teams.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software lifecycle and vulnerability management along with associated monitoring-/metering solutions and Endpoint Analytics.
• Hands-on exposure to and experience in remediation activities as part of Vulnerability Management in large enterprises with an understanding of the Microsoft cloud eco-system (M365, Windows365, VirtualDesktop) and related interfaces.
• Exposure to ISO27k processes, controls, audits, and certification activities.
• Interest in cultural exchange and ability to work within a multicultural/-national organization.
• Flexibility as we as a global team need to take ownership and work flexible working hours.
• Team player with hands-on mentality and able to collaborate within cross functional teams.
• Intrinsic motivation for the area of endpoint security and continuous improvement mentality, to stay in the know of state-of-the-art technologies, processes, and security threats.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate to non-technical audience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
