Responsible for the conceptualization, build and maintenance of sustainable products (service, application or tool) that meet customer needs over the product lifecycle.YOUR CHALLENGE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager with a strong engineering / architecture background to lead 4+ agile teams owning and developing complex, partly low-latency IT systems with high availability in an agile banking environment. The product teams composed with team members located in Switzerland and Singapore are “enabler teams”, i.e. teams serving multiple agile teams with the capability they offer. Each team is composed of a product owner with dedicated expertise in the respective field along with developers / testers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing modern, robust solutions in banking or trading either as product manager and / or architect. Leadership skills are a must to form a high performing team.
KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Market Data Platform :
- Together with the product owner / agile team co-create the product strategy and feature definition to evolve the Market Data Platform.
- Ensure the needs of the business, in particular quants and traders are met, and the platform remains competitive.
- Make sure the platform is built in a highly scalable and reliable manner.
- Ensure smooth operations of the platform.
Data Analytics Platform :
- Together with the product owner / agile team co-create the product strategy and feature definition to evolve the Data Analytics Platform.
- Ensure the needs of the business and other consuming agile teams are met.
- Oversee the development of the platform (hybrid: on-cloud and on-prem) and ensure it’s built in a compliant and future-proof way in regards of functional as well as non-functional requirements.
- Ensure the relevant use cases are being implemented and measured against initial benefit hypothesis.
- Ensure smooth operations of the platform.
Interface / API standardization :
- Together with the product owner / agile team co-create the product strategy and feature definition to further standardize interfaces in accordance with the overall priorities and the needs of the consuming teams.
- Oversee the development of scalable and secure real-time / streaming interfaces (façade).
- Ensure decommissioning of old interfaces.
- Ensure smooth operations of the platform.
System team:
- Together with the product owner / agile team co-create the product strategy and feature definition to bring our development infrastructure to the next level.
- Ensure development and management of CI / CD pipeline for own software development in accordance with the needs of the agile teams.
- Support integration and upgrades of various tools and platforms.
- Establish system monitoring infrastructure.
- Provide reporting and documentation.
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
YOUR PROFILE
Professional and Technical
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering
- Relevant experience as solution / system or application architect (knowledge of banking, finance, or trading sectors is a plus)
- Strong technical background with experience in designing, building and scaling highly performant, partly low latency IT systems.
- Proficient with modern technology stacks and API management.
