Facilities Technician

Job Summary: responsible for maintaining and repairing the organisation’s facilities systems and equipment, ensuring safety and optimal functionality. This role involves conducting regular inspections, performing repairs, and overseeing contractors, while also adhering to safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC system maintenance and general equipment upkeep.
2. Facilities Maintenance: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules with contractors and vendors. Identify and resolve maintenance issues, troubleshooting issues, troubleshooting malfunctions and implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
3. Vendor Management: Coordinate and oversee the work of outside contractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and safety guidelines.
4. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the outlets and its surroundings meet safety codes and standards, addressing potential hazards and implementing safety protocols.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
6. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities and issues encountered to Management.
