SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) .
• Develop solutions using various ABAP technologies such as:
  Classical and Interactive Reports
  BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements
  Smart Forms / SAPScripts / Adobe Forms
  Data Dictionary, ALV Reports
  OData / CDS Views (for S/4HANA environments)
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT.
• Ensure code quality, reusability, and performance optimization.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and transport management.
• Provide production support and bug fixes as required.
• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals as per standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems , or related field.
• Minimum 3–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development .
• Experience with RICEF development objects and SAP development tools.
• Solid understanding of SAP ECC or S/4HANA architecture.
• Familiar with SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, HR, or others.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 or SAP Workflow is a plus.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of ABAP on HANA and performance tuning.
• Exposure to SAP integration technologies (IDOC, RFC, Proxy, Web Services).
• SAP certification in ABAP or related areas (optional but advantageous).
