YOUR ROLE
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing relationships with key customers, ensuring that their logistics needs are met with excellence. You will be responsible for supporting the development of tailored solutions, overseeing service delivery, and driving customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities for business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistics operations and the ability to act as a strategic partner for customers, ensuring efficient and seamless operations.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers within the Singapore Contract Logistics customer base.
- Understand your client's business requirements, challenges, and objectives to help develop and deliver customized logistics solutions.
- Maintain regular communication with your customer, ensure service levels are met, and proactively address any issues or concerns.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at client organizations.
- Ensure that customers participate to the Quarterly customer survey, analyze your customers’ feedbacks and propose comprehensive action plans to address any point of concerns.
Client Strategy & Solutions
- Collaborate with clients to identify current and future needs and design tailored logistics solutions that maximize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
- Work with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation and ongoing operational support.
- Continuously assess and improve logistics solutions to align with client expectations and market developments.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service quality, compliance, and contract performance are maintained.
- Prepare regular performance reviews and service reports for clients, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and future opportunities.
- Coordinate and supervise corrective actions when performance issues arise.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts, including upselling additional services and expanding the scope of current contracts.
- Develop proposals and negotiate contracts for your customer’s portfolio renewals.
- Actively contribute to company growth by coordinating tender process with Solution Team for new prospects
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams to ensure flawless execution of logistics solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on client requirements and expectations to ensure alignment and optimal service delivery.
Problem Resolution
- Act as an escalation point for any service-related issues, ensuring that problems are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Proactively identify risks and challenges and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to mitigate them.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in account management, business development, or customer success, ideally within the logistics, supply chain, or contract logistics industry.
- Proven track record of managing key accounts and delivering exceptional service to high-value clients.
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehousing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for service excellence.
