Project Director / General Manager (Construction – M&E Specialist)

About the Role:

We are seeking a technically strong and visionary Project Director / General Manager to spearhead our M&E construction operations. This leadership role is central to ensuring the smooth execution of all projects while maintaining the highest standards of technical integrity and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is not only an exceptional project leader but also a hands-on technical expert who can drive engineering decisions, provide mentorship, and be the go-to person for problem resolution across all M&E works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and direction across all M&E projects, ensuring seamless execution from design through to completion.
• Act as the company’s technical anchor – offering sound engineering advice, resolving complex technical challenges, and guiding the team on best practices.
• Oversee and review all technical designs, engineering documentation, and project specifications.
• Lead and contribute to technical write-ups, design validation, value engineering proposals, and client submissions.
• Develop and conduct in-house technical training to strengthen team capabilities in M&E system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project technical requirements and milestones.
• Lead project planning, risk management, resource allocation, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Drive continuous improvement across project workflows and site operations.
Serve as the final escalation point for project-related technical and operational issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 12–15 years of progressive experience in the construction industry with a strong M&E focus.
• Strong technical background in M&E design, project execution, and systems integration.
• Proven ability to develop technical documentation, proposals, and write-ups for tenders and project execution.
• Experience in conducting training, mentoring engineers, and elevating team technical capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
