Learning Support Educator, Early Childhood #CO

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening and assessment of children's strengths and needs according to their developmental milestones using prescribed tools
• Present screening outcomes to Paediatricians and the therapy teams at Case Filter Meetings
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, caregivers and DS-LS professionals to provide support for children with mild developmental needs
• Develop individual education plan, appropriate teaching materials, end of intervention report and conduct post-screening for children
• Coordinate class-based activities with Early Childhood educators to ensure that strategies are generalised back into the classroom
• Conduct intervention through support packages to DS-LS children
• Provide in-class support to children who have received intervention packages
End-of-Intervention (EOI) report at closure of case

Job Holder Requirements:

• Required to have Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS)
• AND Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs).
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
Experience in EIPIC or Special Education setting an added advantage
