Senior Engineer, M&E

Roles & Responsibilities

• Project Coordination
  Coordinate M&E works with other disciplines (civil, structural, architectural).
  Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for M&E works.
  Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings.

• Planning & Scheduling
  Develop M&E work schedules aligned with the overall project timeline.
  Monitor and report M&E progress to project manager and stakeholders.

• Technical Review
  Review shop drawings, materials, and method statements submitted by M&E subcontractors.
  Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

• Supervision & Execution
  Supervise on-site M&E installation to ensure quality and safety.
  Coordinate with site team to ensure smooth execution of M&E works.
  Verify site measurements and installations before submission for inspection.

• Testing & Commissioning
  Oversee testing and commissioning of M&E systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
  Ensure proper documentation and witness tests where required.

• Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
  Inspect M&E installations and ensure compliance with approved drawings.
  Manage defect rectification and quality audits.

• Cost Control
  Monitor and verify M&E variation works.
  Support quantity surveyor in verifying M&E subcontractor claims.

• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  Ensure M&E works comply with HSE regulations.
  Review and implement risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).

• Documentation & Reporting
  Maintain proper records of M&E works, inspections, test reports, and handover documents.
  Prepare and submit progress reports, checklists, and as-built drawings.

Requirement

• Education: Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ M&E service experience in Building projects
