Job Summary (General Nature / Objectives Of The Job)

The Sculptor is responsible for designing, creating, and installing artistic and decorative sculptures and architectural elements in line with construction project specifications. The role contributes to the aesthetic quality and visual identity of structures, particularly in themed environments, hospitality venues, or cultural landmarks.

Key Responsibilities And Activities

  • Design and sculpt three-dimensional works using various materials such as clay, stone, concrete, wood, metal, or foam.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and concept designs to create site-specific sculptures.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to integrate sculptures into construction timelines.
  • Create molds and castings, and finish sculptures with painting, patinas, or protective coatings.
  • Ensure artworks are structurally sound and compliant with safety and material specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized sculpting equipment safely.
  • Repair, restore, or replicate sculptures as needed.
  • Work on-site to install finished sculptures, often using scaffolding or lifts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop or sculpting area.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Artistic skill in traditional and modern sculpting methods
  • Knowledge of building and construction safety protocols
  • Finishing techniques including texturing, painting, and weatherproofing
  • Ability to estimate material quantities and plan production time

Formal Education

Diploma or degree in Fine Arts, Sculpture, or a related field (preferred)
