Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the development of innovative cold chain shipping solutions for pharmaceutical clients. This role involves CAD design, prototyping, supplier coordination, and the design of equipment and jigs for R&D and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the R&D Manager to understand customer requirements through site visits and meetings.
• Conceptualize and design cold chain shipping solutions using CAD software.
• Produce accurate CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials and validate design specifications.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept models to test and validate product designs.
• Source new materials suitable for cold chain applications.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and simple equipment to support production operations.
• Maintain clear, organized documentation of all design files and technical drawings.

Performance Expectations

• Deliver designs that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure design accuracy, clarity, and manufacturability.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Stay informed on cold chain logistics trends and engineering best practices.

Reporting Line

Reports to: R&D Manager

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
