Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resource practices and processes in a fast-paced events and experiential marketing company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing a strong company culture, talent acquisition, workforce planning for events, performance management, and employee engagement.


This role requires someone who understands the dynamic, project-based nature of the events industry and is capable of balancing long-term HR planning with short-term, high-intensity staffing needs for live events, campaigns, and activations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Recruitment & Talent Management


  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for both permanent staff and event-based freelancers (e.g., promoters, ushers, production crew).
  • Build and maintain a pool of freelance talent for fast-turnaround events.
  • Develop onboarding programs tailored for short-term project hires and long-term employees.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast manpower needs for upcoming events.


2. Performance & Employee Relations


  • Implement performance management systems aligned with company goals.
  • Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions with discretion and professionalism.
  • Mediate issues between staff and ensure a positive workplace culture.


3. Learning & Development


  • Coordinate training and upskilling sessions for staff and freelance teams (e.g., customer service, health & safety, event protocols).
  • Encourage leadership development and mentorship programs internally.


4. HR Operations & Compliance


  • Oversee payroll, contracts, and HR documentation (especially for freelance/contract staff).
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, occupational health and safety standards.
  • Maintain HR policies and update manuals to reflect industry needs and company culture.


5. Culture & Engagement


  • Organize internal engagement activities, team-building events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Foster a creative, inclusive, and high-performance culture across departments.


6. Strategic HR Planning


  • Align HR strategies with business goals and growth plans.
  • Provide HR analytics and reports to leadership to guide decision-making.




Requirements:


  • Proven experience managing freelance, contract, and permanent staff.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High emotional intelligence and people-first mindset.
  • Experience working in an events agency, production house, or similar industry.
  • Familiarity with crew scheduling, event logistics, or creative team dynamics.
