Assistant Accountant - Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of client’s accounting and any group reporting (i.e. manage own portfolio of outsourcing clients, visiting client’s office and handling client’s questions).
- Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing activities and accounts consolidation for client accounts.
- Prepare financials, payments, billings, employee payroll, journals, schedules, reconciliations, reimbursements for clients.
- Liaise with internal and external parties on billings, payments and reconciliations for clients.
- Perform GST processing for clients.
- Ability to work with other team members.
- Ensure proper and accuracy of accounting records & filing and other general duties.
- Any ad-hoc tasks given by Management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Business outsourcing experience as an Assistant Accountant, or equivalent, with a Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, ISCA, ACCA or other relevant professional qualifications.
- Previous work experiences (in Audit or Business Outsourcing) in a Singapore CPA firm would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of accounting software (preferably QuickBooks Online, Sage 300 Accpac and XERO ) and Times Payroll Software will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of International/Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/SFRS) and Goods & Services Tax.
- Good written (including email) and oral communication skills in English.
- Meticulous, attention to detail and possess problem solving skills.
- Able to work in a team and/or independently to meet deadlines.
- Dynamic and positive personality with a strong drive for excellence.
