Production Support Specialist - Application Database

Job Summary:
The Production Support Specialist for databases ensures smooth operation, maintenance, and performance of data warehouse systems. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing ETL processes, and supporting users with data-related issues in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain data warehouse performance, availability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug ETL jobs (e.g., Informatica, SSIS) and optimize SQL queries.
• Support users with data queries, report development (SQL, PL/SQL), and ensure data integrity.
• Document processes, resolve incidents, and adhere to security/compliance standards.
• Collaborate with teams to improve data pipelines and system efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience: 6–10 years in application production support for Banking and Financial services
• Technical Skills:
  Proficient in Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL , and ETL tools.
  Knowledge of data warehouse concepts (star/snowflake schemas).
  Familiarity with Unix/Windows scripting, Control-M, ServiceNow .
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation (preferred).
