Design Engineer (Semiconductor/Precision Parts)

Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and innovative Design Engineer to support the development and enhancement of precision mechanical parts and tooling for the semiconductor industry. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, ensuring manufacturability, and supporting the full product lifecycle from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop precision mechanical components, tooling, and fixtures for semiconductor applications.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Translate functional requirements into detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and procurement.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
• Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure performance and reliability.
• Review supplier drawings, assist in design troubleshooting, and make necessary modifications.
• Maintain accurate design documentation, BOMs, and revision control.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to enhance design performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Precision Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably in semiconductor or precision parts.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering standards.
