Radio Surveyor (Exp in Marine Electronics/Communication/GOC)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct annual performance tests for VDR/SVDR systems and perform statutory safety radio surveys onboard vessels

• Handle customer inquiries and correspondence related to statutory survey matters

• Stay updated on international convention regulations and IMO (International Maritime Organization) requirements

• Maintain and revise survey checklists in accordance with classification societies' guidelines

• Ensure approval certificates from classification bodies remain valid and up to date

• Identify the scope of each survey and monitor daily statutory survey activities

• Prepare and submit detailed survey reports to the relevant classification authorities

• Document any equipment non-conformities identified during surveys

• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Ensure all work adheres to Furuno’s standards and the Code of Conduct of relevant classification bodies and authorities

• Authorized to conduct statutory surveys in compliance with the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) Convention, MODU (Mobile Offshore Drilling Units) Code, HSC (High-Speed Craft) Code, and the Merchant Shipping Acts
  

Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of GMDSS and VDR/SVDR systems preferred

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Engineering
