Position Summary:
Furukawa electric enginneering singapore is seeking a qualified and proactive Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to oversee and enforce all environmental health and compliance measures across our construction sites in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our projects adhere to the highest environmental standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Site Environmental Control Programme (SECP).
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Report (SECR) as required.
  • Advise project management and contractors on environmental best practices and remediation measures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all environmental permits, reports, and monitoring results.
  • Promote a strong environmental health and safety culture on-site through worker education and training.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) matters, including covering the duties of the WSH Officer when required.

Requirements:

  • Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA is mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in environmental control within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Singapore's environmental laws, regulations, and public health requirements.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and transport is highly preferred for site travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in civil engineering construction works.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management Systems.
