BI Developer(MicroStrategy)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements.

• Create and optimize BI solutions to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Develop logical and physical data models, schema objects, and metadata.

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.

• Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions and MicroStrategy objects.

• Implement data security and access controls within MicroStrategy.

• Provide documentation, training, and support to end-users.

• Perform unit testing and troubleshoot performance or functionality issues.

• Work with database developers, data engineers, and ETL teams for data integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Proven experience as a BI Developer with strong MicroStrategy expertise.

• Proficiency in MicroStrategy Desktop, Web, Architect, and Developer tools.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Redshift, Big Query, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.).

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling.

• Knowledge in BI performance optimization and access provisioning by leveraging group, roles etc.

• Knowledge of enterprise data sources, ETL processes, and data governance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MicroStrategy certification (e.g., MicroStrategy Certified Developer / Architect).

• Experience with cloud BI environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
