Job scope
- Synthesize and optimize catalysts and membrane for electrochemical applications
- Perform material characterization using techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, BET, XPS, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy.
- Conduct electrochemical measurements, including cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Evaluate the electrochemical performance of catalysts under various operating conditions and perform simulations (COMSOL and DFT).
- Analyze electrode kinetics, reaction mechanisms, and stability of the catalysts, Integrate catalysts into full cell and test for reversibility.
- Evaluate the efficiency and performance of electrochemical systems for hydrogen generation.
- Assist in scaling lab results to pilot-level processes. Process experimental data, including performance metrics, durability tests, and degradation mechanisms. Prepare detailed technical reports, including key findings, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, material scientists, and process engineers.
Requirements
- Pursuing or completed a degree (master’s in engineering or Ph.D.) in mechanical engineering with strong electrochemistry background, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with electrochemical techniques CV, EIS, DPV, LSV, frequency and voltage dependence studies
- Experience with catalyst synthesis and characterization tools (XRD, XPS, BET, UV-Vis, AFM, TEM, Mechanical testing)
- Applicants with strong writing capabilities and publications in peer-reviewed journals on topics related to catalysis, electrochemistry, or energy systems will be given preference.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
