Key Responsibilities

    • Provide sound legal advice and support to the investment teams to strengthen the investment process.
    • Independently manage the legal process of investment transactions including deal structuring, drafting term sheets, reviewing and negotiating definitive legal agreements, supervising and advising on legal due diligence and attending to legal completion of all transactions, liaising with external lawyers where necessary.
    • Counsel the SGGC team on relevant laws, regulations and legal issues and where appropriate, conduct legal trainings.
    • Attend to the legal aspect of portfolio management and divestment matters.
    • Ensure compliance with external regulatory and internal requirements, timely communications with stakeholders as well as improve internal processes where necessary.
    • Manage corporate secretarial responsibilities and ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
    • Provide value-adding legal support to other corporate functions.

Requirements

    • Singapore qualified lawyer (LLB or equivalent) with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience as in-house lawyer or in private practice.
    • Relevant work experience in and deep understanding of venture capital, private equity and/or fund investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law.
    • Proven ability to understand commercial considerations and advice on a broad range of regulatory and corporate matters.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced and vibrant corporate environment.
    • Excellent relationship management skills.
    • Knowledge and/or experience in corporate secretarial work is preferred.
