Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors for construction materials, tools, machinery, and services.
  • Obtain and review quotations, negotiate price, terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Maintain an approved vendor list and develop supplier relationships.

Order Management

  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) based on project or site requisitions.
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery to site.
  • Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and damaged goods in coordination with site and vendors.

Cost & Budget Control

  • Ensure purchases stay within project budgets and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordination & Documentation
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to understand material needs and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare procurement reports and assist with audits or documentation requirements.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all procured items comply with company standards and project specifications.
  • Enforce purchasing policies and procedures in compliance with company and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant purchasing experience in the construction industry preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of construction materials and vendor networks
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure
