Assistant Technical Manager

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Technical Manager:
This includes assisting with project planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Technical Expertise:
Providing technical guidance and support to the team, potentially including training and mentorship.
- Project Coordination:
Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Team Management:
May involve supervising team members, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Communication:
Effectively communicating technical information to various stakeholders, including clients, other teams, and management.
- Problem-Solving:
Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during projects.
- Reporting and Documentation:
Preparing reports on project progress and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ensuring Compliance:
Making sure technical work adheres to relevant standards and regulations.

Minimum Qualification
- Diploma: A Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related technical field can be sufficient, especially when combined with significant relevant experience.
Experience:
- Marine/Ship Management: Experience in a marine or ship management environment is highly valued.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in areas like marine reclamation, marine construction, offshore operations, or maintenance is beneficial.
- Project Management: Experience in managing technical projects, including planning, execution, and supervision, is crucial.
- Team Leadership: Experience in leading and mentoring teams is often preferred.
- Vessel Operations: Experience in vessel operations, maintenance, and repair is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ship systems, marine engineering principles, maintenance procedures, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Vessel/Marine Management Software, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other relevant software.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find root causes.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
