The Lubricant Supply Chain (LSC) organization is a vital part of Shell’s global Lubricants business, which has proudly held the title of the No. 1 Lubricants company worldwide for 18 consecutive years. In the Asia Pacific region, LSC operates 8 Blending Plants and 3 Grease Plants across more than 10 countries, supporting a business volume of approximately 1 billion liters annually.
About the Role
We are looking for two enthusiastic and driven Planning Interns to join our team in Metropolis, Singapore. Reporting to the Senior Production Planner SG, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement and management of packaging materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels and seamless production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging
- Scheduling support procurement and delivery scheduling of packaging materials
- Assist in managing recycled IBCs and packaging transitions with minimal write off and impact for BCIs
Inventory Monitoring
- Optimize packaging stock levels to support production plans
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed
Supplier & Quality Management
- Track supplier OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance
- Assist in resolving packaging quality issues
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain healthy stock levels and meet KPIs
Planning Support Functions
- Prepare and host daily planning meetings
- Update planning parameters
- Support project-based tasks (e.g., product BCI, system setup)
- Assist in SIRIM project execution and inventory management
- Contribute to automation of manual planning processes
Who We’re Looking For:
- Currently in the penultimate year of undergraduate studies
- Available for a 6-month full-time internship
- Willing to be based in Metropolis, Singapore
- Strong analytical and optimization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macros
- Adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
