Job Role Summary
The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. The role involves inspection and testing of materials, components and finished products to ensure compliance with both internal specifications and regulatory requirements. Coverage includes control in operational aspect which included Treasury, Security and Loans operations including system flow recon between Kondor+ and Avaloq, Stock reconciliation, Cash and ledger reconciliation. For Regulatory control, ensure daily submission of reporting to Regulator, like EMIR, MAS, ASIC via DTCC platform; and to ensure daily reconciliation of the reported, to be in good order. The Analyst also assists in preparing treasury reporting for internal reporting needs. The Analyst carries out operational activities in compliance with relevant policies and escalates any operational risk concerns.
Key Tasks/Main Responsibilities
Reconciliation
- Conduct daily reconciliation to ensure booking, cash flow and position is in good order by the respective section in operations.
- Ensure all trade bookings are accurately captured in the systems, highlight to the respective section for any exception
- Ensure all trade confirmations are prepared and exchanged on a timely basis, highlight to the respective section for any exception
- Ensure all settlements are completed accurately and timely by checking against source documents, highlight to the respective section for any exception
- Timely escalation and follow-up of discrepancies.
Control and Reporting
- Ensure adherence to standards or other regulatory quality standards
- Ensure regulatory reporting (EMIR, MAS. GST etc) are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Clear reconciliation breaks (Nostro, Positions, NPV/ trade breaks across systems).
- Verify brokerage fees and charges from trades.
- Perform daily, monthly, weekly, quarterly and ad hoc reports.
- Prepare reports for external reporting to regulatory bodies and for internal use and documentation.
- Complete various memos, reports, and internal and external correspondence, as appropriate and on a timely basis.
- Comply with and keep abreast of new and existing activities.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required
Contribute to Maintain the Department’s Efficiency
- Propose continuous improvement project for process (i.e. automation of processes).
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Participate in systems testing.
- Update procedures and reference notes when required.
- Respond promptly to queries from respective stakeholders.
- Identify quality issues and report non-conformities with recommended corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Assist in developing quality control processes and improving existing practices
Requirements
- Position is open to fresh graduates from Polytechnics and Universities
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
