We are looking for a diligent and insightful Accountant, Finance & Compliance, to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role combines hands-on execution of financial operations with the critical responsibility of ensuring robust regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will not only manage day-to-day tasks but also serve as a key resource, providing astute financial and compliance guidance to support the firm's strategic objectives and operational integrity.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Operations & Management:

  • Comprehensive Accounting: Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and performance reports.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing insightful analysis.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury: Oversee daily cash management activities, including monitoring liquidity, managing bank relationships, and optimizing working capital.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all corporate tax filings (e.g., GST, corporate income tax) in compliance with Singapore tax laws.
  • Audit Coordination: Act as a primary liaison for external auditors, facilitating the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and addressing queries.
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance internal controls, and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.

Regulatory Compliance & Advisory:

  • Regulatory Intelligence: Proactively monitor the evolving regulatory landscape, including new MAS notices, guidelines, and industry developments pertinent to LFMCs (e.g., SFA, FAA, AML/CFT, Technology Risk, Business Conduct).
  • Policy & Framework Implementation: Support the design, implementation, and ongoing review of internal compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure alignment with MAS requirements.
  • Compliance Monitoring & Testing: Conduct regular compliance reviews, identify potential gaps or breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
  • MAS Reporting: Prepare and ensure timely and accurate submission of all required regulatory reports and filings to MAS (e.g., financial returns, capital adequacy, annual declarations).
  • AML/CFT Oversight: Execute and enhance the firm's Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) program, including client onboarding due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and suspicious transaction reporting.
  • Advisory & Guidance: Provide clear, pragmatic, and timely compliance advice to senior management and business units on regulatory implications of new products, services, or operational changes.
  • Training & Awareness: Contribute to the development and delivery of internal compliance training sessions to foster a strong compliance culture.
  • Record Management: Ensure meticulous maintenance of all regulatory and financial records in accordance with statutory and internal requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance and/or compliance, with demonstrable exposure to the fund management industry in Singapore.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of MAS regulatory frameworks, particularly those governing LFMCs (e.g., SFA, FAA, AML/CFT, Technology Risk Management Guidelines).
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles (FRS/SFRS) and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical internal controls and operational processes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and regulatory matters clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A proactive, self-driven individual with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
