Software Engineer (C++ / Linux / Automation Systems)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ in a Linux environment.
• Develop automation control logic for semiconductor and industrial machinery.
• Maintain and upgrade legacy systems developed with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 (C++, VB6) .
• Participate in software architecture design and system integration.
• Collaborate with hardware, electronics, and control teams to implement software that interfaces with automation systems.
• Ensure software reliability and performance through rigorous testing and code reviews.
• Create technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test cases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Automation, Mechatronics, or Computer Science (or related field).
• Proficient in C++ programming language .
• Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment is mandatory .
• Familiarity with programming in “C” and legacy applications using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 (C++, VB6).
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles , data structures, and real-time/embedded system development.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and understand system-level hardware/software interaction.

Preferred Background

• Experience in Automation Machinery , Semiconductor Equipment , or Industrial Control Systems .
• Knowledge of PLC communication , motion control, or machine vision systems is a plus.
• Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS) and multi-threaded applications.
