Operation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee operational matters for Owned, Managed, and Voyage or Time-Chartered vessels.
• Communicate daily with Masters, Agents, Charterers, Owners, and Brokers to ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately manage voyage and post-fixture operations using IMOS and SHIPFIX (or similar systems).
• Execute all voyage documentation and instructions: BLs, LOIs, NORs, SOFs, stowage, bunkering, port expenses.
• Handle all freight, hire, laytime (Demurrage/Despatch), and other settlement matters with Accounting.
• Monitor vessel performance and handle performance claims.
• Collaborate on legal/contractual matters with internal Insurance, P&I Clubs, and external legal teams.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in drybulk shipping operations.
• Proficient in handling 5–7 vessels independently.
• Strong knowledge of drybulk trades, charter parties, and industry documentation.
• IMOS experience is essential; SHIPFIX or SEDNA experience is a plus.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with stowage planning, bunker procurement, and cargo requirements.
• Confident, solution-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
