Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely financial closing and reporting under Record to Report (RTR) processes, adhering to Group Policies and Accounting Standards.
• Collaborate with Finance Operations, Treasury, Risk, and Tax to ensure robust controls and accurate reporting for revenue recognition, financial instruments, and inventory valuation.
• Design and optimize processes to provide on-demand business and financial information, working with Information Management to automate tasks.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, board papers, and regulatory reports within deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement in workflows, system integration (e.g., SAP, Blackline), and process standardization.
• Guide and mentor junior accountants to foster a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, ideally in commodities or trading industries.
• Strong knowledge of ITP/ITC/RTR processes, IFRS, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP S4/Hana, Blackline, Aspect) is a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver process improvements and leverage IT solutions.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal right to work in Singapore; some travel may be required.
