Assistant Baker

Park Bäckerei has opened its doors last year at Icon Village in Tanjong Pagar , an artsy bakery cafe with a focus on German baked goods and covering dine in , retail/take-away , and catering settings. Our baked good range includes authentic hand-crafted pretzels, sweet laugenbuns, stuffed bagels and other mouth-watering baked goods, using only the highest quality ingredients. You will be working side by side with other passionate chefs, bakers and kitchen crews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting daily production of German bakes with a focus on crafting the traditional German Pretzel doughs

• Planning and executing dough production schedule and help optimize productivity of the dough station

• Keeping track of supplies, inventories and maintaining a clean and organized workspace

• Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations

• Maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency

• Work well together with the multi-disciplinary team of bakers, cooks and service personnel.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience with shaping and proofing dough and good understanding of textures and properties of different flours and other quality enhancing ingredients

• Strong sense of accountability and pride for your craft.

• Attention to detail and a quality first mindset.

• Curiosity to learn new things and flexibility to apply yourself where you are needed most

• Good communication in English

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Can be sponsored for the right candidate)

• True team player that values team cohesion over personal benefit
