M&E Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee MEP design projects
To assist the Project Management Team in Mechanical & Electrical planning works
To liaise with clients and consultants on projects
To assist in project engineering of mechanical and electrical systems
To assist the costing team in ensuring that the engineering design of projects is accurate and efficient
To supervise and ensure works are in accordance with design, specifications and codes of practice
To prepare shop drawings, T&C check sheets and other relevant documents for M&E related works with the team
To coordinate with subcontractors and consultants on preparation and submission of shop drawings
To coordinate / prepare technical submissions with suppliers / subcontractors
To hold technical discussions with various stakeholders to resolve technical / site issues

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Min. 3-5 years’ experience in construction industry in Singapore
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of MEP principles, methods, and technologies
Experience in MEP systems installation and commissioning on High-Risk Fitting-Out projects will be a bonus
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Familiar with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices
Proficient in AutoCAD
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
